Puzzle No 139: Nurikabe

This one was created for the Puzzle Ramayan Round 3, but the difficulty was high, so I created another easier one for the contest. Here it goes the challenging one.

Rules:
Shade some blank cells so that the grid is divided into white regions. Each white region contains exactly one numbered cell and has the same area as the number. Two white regions may only touch each other diagonally. All shaded cells are connected to each other horizontally or vertically. Shaded cells do not form 2X2 squares.

Tutorial to solve Marathon - Nurikabe

First of all, thank you to all for your feedback and support. It will surely help in future creations. As now the marathon is over, i would like to discuss the tricks behind the solution. The final puzzle selected for Marathon was 2nd version of what i created first. The first version was very tough and so had to modify it. I will upload that version soon after it's tested. But for right now let's move on to the solving steps. Apologies for any grammatical mistakes or bad image quality. But i have tried to keep it simple and good as far as i can.

Now that, this friday Tom has posted for Daily League. I don't have to create a Sudoku in a fixed place ;)   So time for some change. Here is the Nurikabe I made.

Rules:

A puzzle after long time, and kind of funny puzzle (crooked idea). You will know it why i say so. Hopefully few more puzzles this week :)

Standard Rules of Nurikabe Applies:

Additional Rule:

Determine the number in place of '?' which will make the solution unique. Remember there is a unique number which can make the solution unique.

Update1: There is an erratum published on the IPC site that says the 2×2 restriction applies to Happy Dots too. Since the practice puzzle in the PDF still gives a nice practice for placing the dots and forming regions, and only uses 2×2 regions minimally, it stays the same in the PDF. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

I hereby will refer to Palmer Mebane blog for the rules of some of the puzzles as i found his description of puzzles is well written and explained. It just took 10 min to create this puzzle. So it ended up with too ease. I will make it more tough next time as this is just the beginning.
