Puzzle No 169: Square Root Nurikabe

A Micro Puzzle to test out a new concept.

Later, Eric suggested, it can also be called Square Nurikabe by giving clues square way. Since the original idea struck me as Square root, I have left it as-is for this puzzle but may change the name in the future.

Rules:

Shade some blank cells so that the grid is divided into white regions. Each white region contains exactly one numbered cell and has the same area as the number. Two white regions may only touch each other diagonally. All shaded cells are connected to each other horizontally or vertically. Shaded cells do not form 2X2 squares.

Additionally, each clue behave as given or it can be replaced with the square root of its value

1.Quad Sums: 

A circle at a corner implies that one digit is the sum of the remaining three digits at that corner. Not all possible circles are given.

2.Numbered Rooms

Apply classic sudoku rules.

Clues outside the grid indicate the digit which has to be placed in the Xth cell in the corresponding direction, where X is the digit placed in the first cell in that direction.

Rules:

Insert a number in the indicated range into each cell so that no number repeats in any row or column. Some regions appear with more cells than there are numbers in the indicated range. Some number(s) repeat in these regions, but all numbers in the indicated range must appear at least once within each of these regions.

This Puzzle I created while recording a video on PenpaPlus Channel. It's easy but fun and teaches you the basic fundamental rules of the Pentominous puzzle genre.

Rules:

Divide the grid into pentominoes (five-cell regions) so that no two pentominoes of the same shape (including rotations/reflections) share an edge. A cell with a letter in it must be part of the pentomino shape normally associated with that letter. An inventory of pentominoes is given below the puzzle but not all shapes must be used.

Rules:

Draw a single, non-intersecting loop that only consists of horizontal and vertical segments between the dots. Numbers inside a cell indicate how many of the edges of that cell are part of the loop.

This Puzzle was created during the speed setting contest over Cracking The Cryptic discord server within a time limit of 30 min.

Rules:

Draw a single closed loop (without intersections or crossings) passing through some empty cells in the grid. The grid contains some bordered or colored cells that cannot be part of the loop. Black cells must be outside the loop; white cells (with heavy borders) must be inside the loop. Numbers and arrows refer to the total sum of the lengths of loop segments in the given direction. (An equivalent way to understand these values is to count the number of cell borders crossed by the loop in that direction.)

Rules:

Shade some empty cells black to create a single connected wall. Numbers in a cell indicate the length of consecutive shaded blocks in the neighboring cells. If there is more than one number in a cell, then there must be at least one white (unshaded) cell between the black cell groups. Cells with numbers cannot be shaded, and the shaded cells cannot form a 2×2 square anywhere in the grid.

Rules:

Place numbers in the grid such that each row, column, and 3*3 box contain the numbers 1-9. Additionally, the three shaded columns are like a slot machine. The 9 numbers they contain will be in exactly the same order/sequence. (The strips wrap around the grid for the ordering). The sum of all numbers in a cage must match the small number printed in its corner. No number appears more than once in a cage.
